Terms of Service

Overview

These terms apply when you engage Nathan Tong (ABN 17 825 183 044) for SEO consulting, AI SEO, local SEO, or Google Business Profile management, whether as an SEO Sprint or an ongoing SEO Campaign. By engaging my services, you agree to these terms.

Services provided

I offer the following services to small businesses:

  • SEO consulting, audits, and local SEO
  • AI SEO and AI search visibility audits
  • Google Business Profile setup and optimisation
  • SEO Sprints and monthly SEO Campaigns

The specific scope of work for your project will be agreed in writing before any work begins, either via email or a formal proposal.

No lock-in contracts

There are no lock-in contracts on any of my services. SEO Sprints are scoped and priced upfront. SEO Campaigns run month to month and can be cancelled at any time with 30 days' written notice.

Payment terms

For SEO Sprints, payment is typically split into two instalments: 50% upfront to begin work, and 50% on completion. SEO Campaigns are billed monthly, month to month: invoices are issued at the start of each month and are due within 14 days.

All prices are quoted in Australian dollars, exclusive of GST. GST is added to invoices.

Cancellation

For SEO Campaigns, you can cancel at any time by giving 30 days' written notice via email. You'll only be billed for the current month and any work already completed. For SEO Sprints, if you need to cancel after work has started, you'll be invoiced for the work completed up to that point.

Ownership of content and assets

You own all content, copy, images, and other assets you provide for your project. Once the work is paid for, you own the SEO deliverables I produce for you, including audits, reports, content, and recommendations. I don't hold anything hostage.

Results and case studies

I reserve the right to share the results of our work together as case studies on my website for promotional purposes, unless you specifically request otherwise. Just let me know and I'll keep your project private. No questions asked.

Limitation of liability

I'll always do my best to deliver quality work, but I can't guarantee specific search engine rankings, traffic increases, or business outcomes. SEO results depend on many factors outside my control, including Google's algorithms, your competitors, and your industry.

My liability for any claim arising from my services is limited to the total amount you've paid me in the 12 months prior to the claim. I'm not liable for any indirect or consequential losses.

Your responsibilities

To do my best work, I'll need you to:

  • Provide content, images, and feedback in a timely manner
  • Ensure any content you provide is accurate and you have the right to use it
  • Provide access to any accounts or platforms I need (hosting, domain, Google Business Profile, etc.)

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Victoria.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page. If you're on an active SEO Campaign or SEO Sprint, I'll let you know about any changes that affect our arrangement.
